Dr. Elbert Charpie came as pastor in August of 2007.  He received his Bachelor of Music degree from William Carey Unicaersity in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and his Master of Divinity and Doctorate of Ministry degrees from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.  His wife, Vickie, is a therapist with a Masters degree in Professional Counseling.  They have three children, Paul, a dental assistant who is married to Amy; Rachel, a music therapy major at William Carey University; and Daniel, who is currently deployed overseas serving his country with the United States Army.

Derrick Englebert came to First Baptist Church in July 2006. Derrick has traveled for 15 years in gospel music, with many different groups as a lead singer, songwriter and vocal coach. Derrick and his wife Audra, a RN Account Executive at Amedisys Home Health, live in Deer Park, with their two children, Breanna and C.T. Derrick works a full time job, and yet leads a dynamic and inspiring heart felt worship every time we meet together.

Greg Hrinsin came on staff in August, 2010 and was ordained as a minister here at FBC about a year later. He has a heart for outreach and focuses most of his efforts in Youth and Children's Ministries. Greg is currently a bi-vocational pastor and has previously done pulpit supply and as an interim pastor in southwest Alabama. Greg is married to Lymenda and has two daughters: Gabby and Sarai Grace.

Johnny Tucker is a former pastor at First Baptist Church and has been in full-time evangelism for 30+ years.  Johnny preaches all over the world and organizes mission trips to Guatemala and the Philippines.  He is married to Judy and they have two sons, Shane and Heath, and one daughter, Deidra.

Rhonda McNees has been our financial secretary since June, 2007.  Her dedication and love of numbers is certainly a blessing to FBC.  She is married to Andy and spends much of her time looking after aging family in the area.

Rebecca Ranes has been the church secretary at FBC since March 2011. She comes to us with a very diverse and skilled administrative background. Rebecca and her family have recently settled in this area after traveling during her husband’s 20 year Active Duty Navy career. She and husband, David have two small and vivacious daughters: Faith and Jillian.

Cindy Turner is the Children's Learning Center Director here at First Baptist Church. Cindy served at Shiloh Baptist Church in Saraland, Alabama as Daycare Director for 9 years.  Cindy came on staff full-time in January, 2009. In addition to daycare, she has also been involved as a High School Girls Sunday School Teacher, and has taught 4-K preschool for 19 years.  She, and her husband Joe, have two children Kelly (and son-in-law Chris) and Aaron, and two grandchildren Garrett and Sawyer.

Angie Richardson is our CLC Daycare Administrative Assistant.  Angie has been on staff since August 2009.  She is married to Mike and they have two daughters: Tiffany and Kelly who is married to John O'Neal, and one son, Chad who is married to Robin and expecting their first child.
